Low Emission Strategies

Sheffield City Council is committed to protecting air quality through its local development framework. To build on this, and set the commitment in a practical context they are now developing an SPD to implement the LES approach. Development of the SPD has been approved by the council’s senior management team and a working group is now taking the project forward. Sheffield is also trialling low emission vehicles within council fleets in partnership with Veolia, Mercedes Benz, VW and Chesterfield Biogas.
